Mid C17, encased
in brick and altered early C18. Red brick with grey brick headers
in Flemish bond; old plain-tile roof; brick ridge stack to left of
centre. Originally 3-unit lobby-entry plan. 2-storey, 5-window range
to rear. Double part-glazed door to right of centre with fluted Doric
pilaster surround supporting frieze with triglyphs and carved cows
heads to metopes, pedimented hood on carved brackets. Tripartite sashes
with glazing bars and cambered rubbed brick heads to right, centre,
and left; that to left has 2 panels to base forming French window.
Blocked doorway to left of centre. Moulded brick band between ground
and first floor. Tripartite sashes with glazing bars and rubbed brick
heads to first floor except blind panel to right of centre, and 16-pane
sash to left of centre. Richly moulded brick cornice to eaves. Interior:
dog-leg staircase with 3 twisted balusters to each tread. Room of
fielded panelling to ground floor left with half-domed niche to left
of fireplace with shaped shelves, winged angle-heads to spandrels
and flanked by pilasters. Basket-arched recess to right of fireplace,
continued in room to centre, probably former entrance. Subsidiary
lean-to addition to left return.

2-window range. Plank door to gabled brick porch to centre. 3-light
wood casements with segmental brick heads to left and right. Cross-gable
to right with 3-light wood casement with segmental brick head. Half-hipped
cross-gable to left with 3-light wood casement. Interior: straight
flight stairs. Queen-post roof. Blocked fireplaces to ground and first
floor centre. Some C18 doors with original hinges to first floor.

to centre. Probably originally 2-unit lobby-entry plan. 2 storeys
and attic; 2-window range. C19 four-panel part-glazed door to C19
porch to left return. 4-pane sashes to all openings. Cross-gable to
right of centre with fish-scale tile-hanging and 2-light casement.
Blocked fireplaces to interior centre. Ovolo-moulded spine beams to
ground floor. C19 cross-wing to right. Red bricks; plain-tile roof;
2 storeys.

cross-wing to right. Plank door to centre with open timber-framed
porch. 3-light casement to left. 2-light casement to left of centre.
4-light casement to right of centre. Angled bay to end of cross-wing.
Cross-gables with 3-light casements to left and to right of centre.
Jettied first floor to cross-wing. 2-light casement to cross-wing
first floor centre. Half-hipped gable end to cross-wing with 2-light
attic casement. Stone base to left return. Interior: C20 open well
staircase. Jointed cruck with arch-bracing to collar to centre. Open
fireplace to ground floor right of centre with bread-oven arch. Extensive
beaming to interior, spine beams with ogee end-stops.

2-light C20 casement to right. Flat brick band between ground and
first floor. 3-light leaded wood casement to first floor centre. 2-light
casements to left and right. Gabled full dormer with 2-light casement
to centre. Angle-braced timber-framing with brick infill to first
floor and attic of left and right returns. Dog-leg stairs. Queen-post
roof. Open fireplace to ground floor left with domed bread-oven. Timber-framed
partition with brick infill to ground floor right.
