Summary of meeting on Tuesday 16th January 2007

It was decided to ask Bob Beacroft to be the judge this year as he has won the competition several times recently.  The Committee will continue to consider possible solutions to prevent one person winning it successively.

 

Future events

 

2007 is the 10th anniversary of the founding of Association and the Committee thought it would be good to hold a free event for the whole village on July 8th.  This could be a simple lunch and a variety of activities.  Suggestions for the activities are:

  • The mystery trail originally planned for last year
  • An exhibition of local art
  • Croquet
  • Music by children of the village
  • History Society stall
  • Book stall
  • Raffle
  • Refreshments later in the afternoon

 

Other business

 

The webmasters (John Baile and Roger Sweet) are looking for help with the village website.  Mike Parker offered to help and Simon Ford too will be approached.  Young people to help are needed too.

 

A skip for green waste will be provided in Greengate Lane on 24th February
